Panatec Rumen Proof is a novel, non-antibiotic platform technology developed in cooperation with the National University of Ireland as a first generation feed supplement with a wide variety of beneficial uses in food producing animals.
Rumen Proof is fast acting and used to reduce the risk of acidosis which caused reduced milk yield, poor feed conversion, energy deficits and lameness.
The transition period for dairy cows and the start of the breeding season are peak times of the calendar year for metabolic stress in cows. Cows are often in negative energy balance and/or metabolic acidosis, which in turn leads to a knock-on effect of poor fertility, lower milk yield to poor rumen function. Rumen health is the main driver of immunity in cows, so the risk if immunosuppression increases during these periods. Rumen Proof is designed to address these challenges in dairy cows as well as beef cattle by regulating rumen PH to simultaneously control acidosis and increase energy levels.
Recent trials of Rumen Proof at the University of California, Davis have shown an equivalence in performance in milk yield and feed conversion compared to sodium monensin.
